Hey Bass Hunter- I too use a lot of soft baits to get quantity but you can still land a hog on rubber worms, tubes, lizards e.c.t. I have caught a couple nice bass on the Jig & Pig using 20lb braided line as it has a lot of strength and I still like the feel. I've had more excitement catching Big Bass at night in the spring-fall. I usually head out around 8pm and fish until about midnight. Most of my lunkers came around 11 pm during the summer months. I switch it up between jitterbugs (black) and big swimbait lures. I use 30-40 braid for the swimbaits because of the weight of the lure and when you have a bass tracking a 7-10 inch lure you know it's a good one. The landlords are the best anglers I know when it comes to jigs so maybe they'll through some advice at this thread. I always read about the pros catching big fish on crank baits but I've never really given them much air time on the water, maybe this season I will. Keep doing what your doing brotha! Hope to see you at some tournaments.

The 5lb,14oz fish in my profile pic was caught on a 4" Senko, so they catch the pigs too! I like the Bitsy bug and chigger craw combos as well for jig-n-pig setups. Caught some nice ones on that combo, various weights and colors, depending on conditions of course.
