I'm new to braided line and will be changing over for this, this spring
Now is it best to tie my crank baits , frogs , spinner baits and soft baits.
Do people use clips if so what is the best type. I'm always changing lures during the day an was tying all the time .
I've added a swivel clip for my 11yr old so he can fish more and was wondering if there was a good one to be use on braided line.

snap swivels should work fine, use a palomar knot and it should be nice and strong. I don't like swivels anymore though, so I'd recommend just tying braid right to the lure.

I would not recommend braid for crankbaits and clear water.... i only use it in heavy cover... Flipping grass and frogs through nasty stuff.

I was thinking more of the Speed Clip?
It says it works with Braid Line
I had caught a lot of Bass using Crank Bait's, my favorite
is Wake Bait's but some time I get tired of changing my
bait's when tying my lines when I could be fishing.

Braid floats, So it will affect action of subtle baits that dive. My opinion is unless your fishing slop or pads it is not necessary to use braid. But braid is real sensitive and works nicely with a Fluorocarbon leader. This works well when you want to change lures also.

I use braid alot for pads and weeds cuts thru great One of the most important things is a pair of scissors to cut the braid....another thing I do is use a palomar knot and after it's tied i put in an extra half hitch [ overhand knot ] with the tag end......I have had the regular palomar slip this will prevent it

I like the braided line best cause it does not curl up on the reel. I tried a lot of different braided lines. Now I use 30 lb Power Pro with a 10 lb Power Pro leader. This year I am going to use the Seagar fluorocarbon leaded line. I wish they would stop coming out with so many different lines. My pocket book can't stand it.

I have found that the Palomar knot works best with Braided line. And the double uni knot for the leaded.

I also use a swivel. Sometimes with a ball bearing.

I will admit the braided line does take a little getting use too.

I would not use a swivel! maybe for the kids LOL the best knot out there is the palomar VERY easy to do, also helps to have more than one rod, We use 6-10 at all times each one set up with something different so you dont have to change so much. Best of luck!

If you really want to try Braid you could also tie a 3-6 ft flouro leader on. Then you can have some transparency at the bait with the strength of braid. I use this for dropshotting. And yes a speed clip is great for crankbaits but that's all i use em for. J.M.O

Will I have a Bait Caster and a Zebco Delta and on both I had use
Red 12lb Mono line and caught a lot of fish with them.
Zebco came out with a new model call the Omega Pro {Black color} so I handed down my 11yr old son my Delta reel and got me the new one.
I added the Red Power Pro Braided 50lb line {same size as my 12lb mono line} to my Bait Caster and the small speed clip and the clips fits perfect on the No 3 hooks so I know it will fit the crank baits, but I don't know if it will work on my spinner baits?
I like to use a lot of Top Water baits with my bait caster like Frogs, Wake Crank Baits, Spooks and Spoons but never use a leader.
