Decide to try a new line on my reel. Believe it is called nanofill by Berkley. Loved it at first but was told it got bad reviews for breaking. Sure enough hooked into a giant smallie n snap right at the knot. Grrr.😡

Thats the worst. Ill be sure not purchase that line.

Hey I just spooled all my rods with that stuff! Haha just kidding but that sucks dude. That's why I stick with braid on most of my rods.

Excellent review! Sorry it happened to you... I was just looking at what's out there for mine.. Won't be getting that stuff..

It is a strange hybrid almost like braid with a teflon coating. I loved everything about it sensitive, cast like butter, and any bird nest a cinch to untangle. Unfortunately did not pass the most important test, durability. It frays easily after little use. Back to brAid. Braid never failed me. Should have never changed. Make sure I check reviews before trying something new. Not only did I lose what may have been trophy smallie, I'm out $17.

don't throw the line out yet. you could take up beading, make some nice bracelets and such.

"Berkley Solutions" didn't pass the test either. Supposed to be awesome for spinning tackle - cast a "bird's nest" through the eyelets twice yesterday. Back to braid for me too. Suffix 832 Braid - I pretty much have it on everything right now. Like the 10 lb test on my spinning rods, 20 lbs test on my plastic swimbaits and worm rods, 30 to 50 lbs on my froggin' rods. I have never broken off or had a knot slip out the whole time I have been using it. Casts a mile, back lashes are a breeze to pick out, super sensitive and strong as hell.... I have towed my kayak a few times with it after I snag a lure in a submerged tree. Best to have a "plug knocker" on board when using braid..... I like the stuff, no doubt.

Ya braid's the best. I only have mono on my trout/panfish rod, which is P-line 4 pound test "fluoroclear" which is great line for my purposes. Other than that I use 40 lb. power pro braid. It's great on my baitcaster, but I'm thinking on of downsizing to 20 or 30 lb. on one of my spinning rods.

Probably didn't break but the knot slipped. Supposedly is a very slick line. From what I have read in reviews people super glue the knots.

Well that DOES suck!

Suppose it is possible but looked like a break. Have noticed a lot of fraying and have only had line for 2 wks

I would think you could tell the difference between slipped knot and clean break. wouldn't the slipped line look curled with the coating cracked.

what he said! You would've probably noticed if your knot slipped out from the curliness of the line, which would've gotten in the way when you went to retie a new lure.
