9 boats showed up and fished. The fishing was off but I dont know whether to blame the blue bird conditions or something else. WE saw and heard plenty of bluegills in and around the pads and we spooked quite a few bass in the pads. Were they just not in the feeding mood? I don't know. Something does seem off there.
Oh and I was harassed by an employee of the Medford boat club for fishing " withing 300 YARDS" of their swimming area. 1st I was approached by the spillway right by the gate to the club by a teenager in a blue medford boat club tee shirt saying I was trespassing and needed to be outside the green markers in the middle of the lake and I needed to move. I politely said No thank you. He said... NO Thank you????? Do you want me to go get someone? I explained that they do not own the water. I said yes go get someone please. We stayed and fished the area for another 15-20 minutes then started fishing uo the shore away from that area. we were about 1/2 up the lake when a boat comes over to us. The guy says... Were you the ones giving my employee a hard time? I said I did not give anyone a hard time. Your employee told me I had to leave the area and I politely said No thank you. He then said I was breaking the law by being within 300 YARDS of a swim area He said 300 YARDS, 3 football fields. I politely told him 300 yards would put me on the other side of the boat ramp and then some. I pointed to 2 kids in the club fishing from their dock and asked "so I cant fish anywhere near here but your members can? he said "thats right" I said well you just lost all credibility. If there is a law that says no one can fish within 300 yards of a swim area, then that law applies to EVERYONE and I told him to go away. Thats when he threatened to circle my boat with his gas powered boat in an effort to ruin my fishing. I told him I cannot be responsible for errant casts if that were to happen. He drove off, huddled with another boat then returned to the club.

ive also had problems with them in the past. Since they always have events on weekends, i went there this one time and they were like "you cant park here" (i was parking very near the ramp) and i was like, " hmmm, you do not own the parking lot. Feel free to call the cops or do whatever you gotta do". then he just left.
But yeah, Upper mystic has never been my favorite place to fish because fishing is very weird (too bad since it is very close to my house) and because of the club people. Although if anyone wants to go there, just dont let them bully you, stand your ground and they will leave you alone.
Team Northshore is gonna put an end to this bullshit once and for all! Emails, letters, personal visits, whatever it takes! Answers will be gotten and the boat club issues will be put to rest! To be continued.....
