Hi guys,
im looking to go fishing saturday morning in the South shore with a fellow yakker. im looking for places with preferably no access to trailered boats and obviously with good fishing. please give me some opinions. Oh and dont worry about me blowing up your spots, i never go fishing south of boston. i hate driving on 93.
try doing some research on Hale Reservation in Westwood. There's three ponds there and one of them (noanet pond) has big bass. The ponds are all small to medium sized. I don't know if kayaks are allowed, though. You could also always hit up ponkapoag in canton, which also has big bass.
They don't allow any outside boats or kayaks at hale. The boats they have are for members only. I went there last year and caught a few at the bigger pond. The pond you mentioned I tried to find it but you have to walk pretty far into the woods I guess so I just turned around.
Furnace Pond Pembroke has a pay ramp so not many big boats go and theres couple free parking spots along the road with access,Oldham Pond Hanson/Pembroke has a ramp but ive never run into more than a few big boats,Indian Head Pond Hanson has a sucky dirt ramp so not many big boats,Stetson Pond Pembroke no gas motors except for residents of pond,Maquan Pond Hanson no gas motors. I've caught decent fish at all these ponds over the years.
I was at Jacobs in Norwell the other day and the water is especially warm compared to some of the other ponds ive hit recently. That place holds some good fish and it usually crazy weedy but its still clear right now.

Are you looking for well known places like those listed in this thread or more "honey hole" type places? I have no doubt you won't blow spots up but it's really the responses themselves and the mentioning of the place that runs the risk of blowing places up.
I can let you know about a few spots that would be especially good for a yak but I think this should all be done over PM. Way too many lurkers out there. Let me know.
