Spots on the Indian Head River?

I have never fished the indian head river and hope to as soon as this weekend. Are there easy to find areas of the indian head that are fishable and where are they?

fish are everywhere in there. all bass are over the dam. while trouts and herring are swimming below from dam. although, they can get over the dam. So, good luck.

What side are you planning to fish and how are you planning to fish it? From shore or by boat? There is no shore fishing on the river below the dam. Limited spots above the dam. I tried wading the lower river this morning, yeah right! It's a tough place!

If I go then I might try from a boat, but I would prefer going off shore. Is it easy to get a yak in there?

Yes. If you want to fish the upper river you can launch at Luddams dam, plenty of parking. If you would like to fish the lower side, you can launch right off Indian Head Road which is almost directly across the street.
