Wow, tough bite but somebody always finds the fish, big or not!

It is hard place to fish plus water is down and no current.
Lots of big fish taken out of there.
Fish hard

Brutal day. Knowing how great that place can be, my expectations were high. I felt the same way before the kayak tournament there earlier this year, but the results were similar (although I placed second then).

Definitely a much better fishery than what we saw today. I expected the winning bag to be around 15 pounds.

Now that is some tough fishing.

No troll here. I read the site every day. I have learned quite a bit from all of you guys who post frequently. That said, khaskins bitches every week about having to check multiple sites to see if a tournament if full or not (before you say it, I get the fact that he is donating his time/energy and respect that, but he signed up for it so shut up about the work it takes). Lastly, it is beyond ignorant to say you would never fish the Charles River again. Kenwood, you said yourself how great of a fishery it was. In addition to that, you said all of the reasons why the fishing sucks there right now, and you were spot on. Again, I'm not trolling anyone (could not give two shits whether or not I'm a bait-fish or swordfish rank, just enjoy reading/educating myself) , I just cant stand ignorance/complaining.

Posted Tue Sep 23, 2014 6:30 pm

khaskins thanks for the hard work you do to put on these tournaments they got me into bass fishing more than ever, even made me go out and buy a bass boat so i wasnt the guy in the 1950 11footer anymore. obv your gonna be upset when people dont show up or sign up after all the s*** that goes into it nevermind you dont just cancel the tourney you go above and beyond to fill it with quality fishermen from other sources. troll troll troll your boat gently down the charles. see ya next year

Fair enough, but most fishermen say the same thing after fishing a new body of water that doesn't produce. That's certainly not beyond ignorant. First, he fished it, so he has at least some experience with and knowledge of the place, but second, he was likely being facetious. He wasn't the only person to say it that day.

As for his "bitching," that's neither here nor there. I never took it as bitching, just someone talking on a forum, as one does.

Either way, it's all good. This was my first year fishing any MAFF tournament and it was a good time every time. =)
