Newfound lake NH

Up at Newfound lake. Got out earlier today. Caught a decent smallie but it had sores on it. Thought there was just one spot from a lamprey but it had it on both sides. Any idea what it is? Caught another one after that and it was fine

probably shot by spearfishing or bow/arrow. Have seen handful of them by idiot kids that has no care for laws.
