I am planning to go fishing with my uncle I have a ten foot jon.
The weight capacity says 380lbs. I weigh 240 plus a 60 pound battery and 55 pound trust trolling motor and gear and by myself its fine but unsure of another guy in it that weighs just as much as I do will handle it. I just dont want get a spot and find out we cant fish because it wont handle us.
Does anyone have experience please help.

I use to go out on a 10 foot jon with a 5hp motor. I'm about 40 lbs lighter than you and my friend was about 170lbs. I didn't have a problem on SMALL ponds.

If you encounter any waves get close to shore quick. Small waves will cause a big problem.

Two people my size? Hell no

Two people under 200lbs with a good sence of balance...probably. Just take turns standing up.

It depends heavily on the width of the boat and angle of the sides, but with practice you can do it fine. My buddy and I combine for around 330-350 I think and with a trolling motor battery and all our stuff were able to stand without much problem on a narrow 10 foot. But saying that we were coming off fishing out of a canoe with a side mounted trolling motor we would stand and fish out of. When I told my father and people he know we do this, all with much more experience in boats and fishing, they all think we are insane for doing it.

I think if you can be mindful of your balance you will be fine but if you doubt it nothing good will happen.

Thanks for all the advice everybody, I weigh 240 and my uncle probably about the same if not more, its a ten foot tracker 36 inch bottom 52 beam. i think if he feels comfortably with trying it we will test it in the shallow part first and if its too close for comfort we will just fish from shore so im thinking walden pond because it offers both boating and shore fishing.

the weight capacity isn't accurate. i have a modified 12' jon with a deck and have fish tournaments in it fully loaded with motor, full livewell, battery, another guy and gear.

So a ten foot jon can hold about 680 pounds thats what I had in the boat and it was fine no problem at all. Didnt catch anything though I went to ashland reservoir today.
Anyone have any advice.

we put about 800lb+ in our 14' jon boat all the time.. with coolers and sometimes 3 people.. it rides low on the water but no other issues.. you wont sink it if that's what your worried about.. might have some trouble on the muddy ramps on some of the ponds but that's about it.
