Rat l trap VS red eye shad

so i have a few different red eye shad colors, but i see everyone mostly talking about Rat l trap... what is the big whoop about the rat trap? is there any difference?

It will just kind of sink and you don't get the rattle like the Red Eye.

I once had a fishing guide in Mexico, who pretty much threw traps every day of life, he could hear when the fish bite my trap. It was mind blowing!
