Hello, I hope this is the right forum to post this. Nothing else seemed to fit. My brother was given a boat with a small trolling motor. (Minn-Kota Endura 55) What is the best type of battery to use for it? I've never used one before and I have no clue. LOL Question

You need a marine deep cycle battery. I have had very good luck with Walmart's Everstart batteries, but any brand will do. Any good auto parts store will carry them also.

Also since you said you didnt have a clue,as soon as you put that trolling motor on any boat regardless of size,it needs to be registered.

dont give up that easy lol you can probably find one at a yard sale or something like that real cheap, maybe someone you know already has one laying around, they are fairly common lol the batterie is more important and the everstart brand roki mentioned has been good to me ,around 60 I think

well....the charger is important too,if you want to fish twice lol, what I meant is dont use an old crap battery

Actually I was referring to registering the boat
