Trip to the Nip

Went to the Nip this morning. First cast out, caught a 1/2 lb bass. Paddled over to the cove off to the right of the boat ramp and hit a double with my dad and I pulling in bass simultaneously (pic below).Caught perch on perch colored floating rapala. I also caught a nice pickerel on a chartreuse spinner bait and a 4lbs bass (weight on digital scale) on a green and white senko, he swallowed it unfortunately and swam away gut hooked

hopefully it rusts and falls out and he grows another 4lbs in the coming years! I'd have tried to remove it but, I didn't have my long needle nose pliers.

Btw, photos are of my dad with the fish i caught since he doesn't know how to use an iPhone to take the pictures, haha.

Nice fish, looks like you had a lot of fun. I grew up near the Nip; I'm still pretty close, maybe I'll check i out this weekend.
