Temperature at Wachusett

Anybody have an idea what the temps are at Wachusett Reservoir?

Will I be wasting my time if I go Saturday and target smallies? If so, do you think the water temps, even at dawn , are now too warm for lake trout?

no but if your going for lakers you need to find deeper water, shallow smallmouth

with the wind comming from the South you'll want to be on the RT 70 Side of the Res. Plenty of water at Gate 8 for your Lakers, last week they were cathing them to the left of the point and the Smallies were around also. Its still early and cold enough for an early morning Laker in most spots still, not for much longer...
