swimbait for big bass

i just read the article on swimbait fishing for MA big bass. thats sounds pretty awesome. they even catch fish in the middle of winter. any cheap swimmbait lures out there?
it got me thinking. what saltwater lures can i use to catch big bass?they use 8inch 4oz lures for big bass. that to me is a big striper lure.
i think its time to start fishing striper lures in freshwater.
