Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion about trying the Sudbury Reservoir.
Not too far from where I am in Sudbury, so will definitely try this Spring (assuming it ever comes).
Questions, please: I downloaded the .pdf map from
http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/dcr/watersupply/watershed/maps/sudburyaccessmap.pdf
and I see that there are only three parking spaces in effect, with a bunch more "proposed".
One is off of Rt 85 (Acre Bridge Rd.) to the North; seems to be for the main reservoir.
And a second is also off of Rt. 85, close to Rt. 9, the Southern end.
Seems to be for a small inlet there.
There is also a third off of Parmenter Rd. at the NE end.
Seems to be a "long" walk-in, though.
Have no idea if any of the other "proposed" parking areas exist now, or not ?
So, for my first time here, where would be the best place for me to initially try ?
And, any suggestions as to the best place for me to park would also be much appreciated.
I am somewhat limited as to far I can hike these days, but can do a relatively short, "reasonable" amount.
BTW: what species are to be found here ? What lures work; plastic worms, or...?
Thanks for the help and suggestions; nice of you folks to help me out.
Regards and thanks,
Bob
