We used to make that trip a few years ago, We would rent one of the alu. boats and go up river instead of standing shoulder to shoulder. Great fun don't know which i liked more, the cohoe or the kings. Since I got into this bass fishing kick my buddy and I havn't been there for a few years. I miss it..

I can't positively say the salmon run, but boy do they jump! Whether last year was a freak occurance or not, I've never seen fish breech the surface with such frequency (atleast one a minute), and the baitfish had to have been running for their lives, it looked like it was raining! I was satisfied to make the trip whether or not we caught one, and low and behold, the fish of my lifetime! When I had the fish cleaned I had it cut into steaks...16 steaks of yummmmmy fresh salmon! p.s. get your bait at Woody's and ask for the special sauce! wink wink! I can't wait...I'd also like to thank Turning Stone Casino for sponsoring our weekend! Craps anyone? Hop the nine if Muskie is rolling! see you there!

I will be making my trip back home to the lower niagara river in a few weeks to catch some fall salmon. Hoping for a good run this year, I have a feeling its going to be a late run do to water temps being high and the warm weather. Salmon fishing is the thing I miss the most since moving to MA last year

No its from devils hole in the lower niagara, The structure in the background is a water discharge from a power plant. In the fall we get big lakers, steelhead, browns, coho's, and salmon. All from the same section of the river, by far my favorite place to fish and the view is awesome.
