Safe Bodies of Water for keeping fish

I grew up fishing in Lynn a lot and I know one spot has an advisory about keeping fish. Out of the handfuls of ponds I have fished around there, I would only keep fish from Sluice pond, just so happens it gets stocked with trout regularly.

I'm not a big fan of trout for table fare, but I would mind some perch or other panfish, even smaller bass for the frying pan.

Any suggestions for ponds or other bodies of water close to the North Shore that's safe and clean for keeping fish to eat.

I suggest you fish saltwater if you want to keep fish . Seen some lakes ruined from people keeping fish . Saltwater fish taste way better anyway and are safer to eat .

I like the think I know what I'm doing, but I don't catch buckets of fish when I go out.

I dint eat much fish, and I doubt my wife would be too crazy about me frying up fish all the time anyway, but I do like some fried perch or crappie every once in awhile.

I do plan on doing some more saltwater fishing for stripers this year.

alright chourico , have fun with you pcbs and eating fish breathing duck s*** and high nitrogen levels , run off from septic , lawn fertilizers all that good stuff .

Seriously , no one should be eating largemouth or smallmouth . Unless you live in trailer park .

in your first post you say that you eat smaller bass .

Your best bet would be the drinking water reservoirs that you can legally fish in your area.
Across the street from Sluice is Breeds pond, but your not supposed to fish there. When I was a kid, that place was loaded with jumbo white perch. ; )
