First off, glad this site exists along with my fellow fishing addicts, glad to be here!

Help! Anyone know of good camping sites near the quabbin and places to fish there this time of year? Thanks for any help.

I've camped Lake Tully before

it's not too far from the best gate in that area (in my opinion) gate 31

There's fishing at Lake Tully too but quabbin is definitely better

I used to fish Tully Lake a few times a year and caught some nice Bass in there. The last few times the fishing hasn't been good. I'd definitely shoot over to Quabbin it's only 20 minutes away from there.

I've got four campgrounds within 20 minutes of Gate 31.

Tully Lake in Royalston 978 249 4957
Peaceful Pines in Templeton 978 939 5004
Lamb City in Phillipston 978 249 2049
Wagon Wheel in Warwick 978 544 8120

We fish the Quabbin for Lake Trout every weekend until the Stripers come into the Merrimack. If you want Lakers or Salmon try 'The Baffle Dam' or 'Egypt Cove'.

The Lakers we get are in @ 80 feet with shiners and DaveDavis. Troll as slow as you can go. The Salmon are in @ 40 feet.

Good Luck. Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll have a great time at the Quabbin!
