Chu Opening Date Prediction

Sad, but kind of true. I am thinking May 2nd, April 24th the earliest.

Man, I am numb! This freaking winter wear me out. I gradually lost passion for fishing as time goes by. I don't have the urge to check around open water as I used to this time of the year.

2 full days of 50+ rain will do a number on the lake. Best guess will be April 15th like a few years past.

I doubt it will open by april 17th....I would be very happy if it did but I seriously doubt it.

I've grown to deal with this cold weather crap! cuz i would of friggin lost it! especially this year

yeah, most definitely after April 18th for sure with way of ice hold up past this week. still 10+ inches at South Shore area. Pretty sure it is around 15+ in chu area. But for Chu - probably between 8-12 inches. Would give another two or three weeks to melt that ice. Unless we get miracle stable 50 degree soon!

Chu regulation says absolutely no ice on the res. So, if a shaded cove has a little bit ice, it will remain closed.

its going to take a while. people are still ice fishing up in that area. last week of april is realistic. unless we get some really warm weather!
