I'm planning a trip for this coming august before I enroll back into college. I have three way points I need to hit, and route between them is fluid. I'm looking to get up, fish nearby lake, drive x hours camp and then repeat the next day. Possibly spending two days on each body of water to cut down on fishing license expenses. I'm going to be leaving the fifth and have until the 14th to get to the scranton PA area. I'll be leaving the scranton area and heading towards Lake Norman NC where I want to spend 4 nights before heading back to arrive home on the 28th.

As I have no fishing experience south of MA I'm looking for suggestions. Plan on coming back having fished 3 straight weeks and a bass thumb like you read about. While roundabout is ok, keeping miles down on my car will also be on my mind, and an electric hook up at the camp site to charge batteries will probably be necessary.

If any one has any experience doing stuff like this please let me know. I'm going to be shooting to keep the costs as low as possible, so i'm going to try to keep zig zagging to a minimum, but also want to fish a variety of differnt waters.

in MY personal opinion... instead of spending 3 weeks travelling and fishing, get a kayak and fish around here Wink it would be a longterm investment which you wouldnt regret

I'll be taking my 12 foot jon with me, only a 4hp and TM on it though so Very Big waters are probably not my best bet.

I'm looking at east brimfield res, otis res, goose pond, possibly a day at the quabbin. Eastern NY is giving me some problems at the moment. Any waters on the pike corridor I'm missing that arn't to big for a car topper?
