Hey guys! first timer here! ive been kicking around the website for a few weeks and finally signed up! glad to be here and i hope to gain some knowledge and maybe even make a couple friends! so heres my story, ive been hitting it pretty hard this summer. fishing with every spare moment ive had. going after work, on weekends all day, and every free moment in between. because im on the hunt bigtime this summer for a 10 pounder!!! i want one so bad i can taste it! checking websites, trying to find hotspots, places with good shorefishing, via google earth, (this because i dont have a boat!) so one website mentions a pond close by with plenty of shore fishing, (it has a sunken crane in there you can fish, which sounds cool as hell!) and he pulled a couple 8 pounders out of there! so...IM IN!!!so i get there today with about an hour to fish! cuz i gotta get home for the kids! cuz the wife has to work! anyway... no scale, no bag, no nothing really. just a spin rod and a couple jigs and a couple worms and 2 or 3 swimbaits and i grabbed the camera from the house a couple days ago, cuz i dont have any pics of me and a fish, and ive been planning on signing up here but didnt wanna do it without a pic. so, i toss in the worm first and land 2 small bass, maybe a pound a piece. then the action died with the worms. so i switch over to the jig, brown head, brown skirt, and weedless! cast that out there and on the 4th or 5th cast, bang! nice 4 to 5 pounder! so im thinking..nice, theres definitly fish in here! so i get all excited and i release the fish and think "s***" didnt take a picture!!!, oh well, start casting around a little more with the jig and landed 3 or four more nice 2 pounders! but im looking for tony the 10 pounder and i got a feelin he's in here! so i start moving around the pond and times runnin out, i bust thru a bunch of brush which pretty much gaurenteed had poison ivy in it! get to the water, toss the jig, let it sink, twiched it once or twice, and bang there he was!....tony 10 pounder! i knew it once he hit!!! but when i got him in my hand i was crushed! he was maybe 8! and thats being generous! but anyways, it was a slob! big enough to post anyway! so i run back to my origanal spot where all my stuff is, grab my camera so i can get a few shots of him and release him. turn the camera on......nothing!!! know why?? my oldest son took the batteries out of my camera for his Wii controller!!! FUUUUUCCCKKK!!!! awesome rite? i knew it rite away, cuz its been happening around my house lately with the tv remotes!oh well! little road rage on the ride home but im ok now... im over it!!! shoulda took a pic of the 5 pounder!!! IDIOT!!! So, thats how it goes for me i guess! hope to have some pics soon! any tips/spots anyone can give me will be greatly appriciated! and ill gladly share mine! for whatever thats worth! glad to join and keep castin everybody!
