I'll be there for a bit tomorrow, not sure when. I have a new pair of waders and boots I need to break in. A rainy day will be a good test.

I got a yearly gold membership for $280. I split it with my buddy. I live 5 minutes away so I go out every weekend. If you want to head out sometime shoot me a PM.

I also know the ranger very well so that is a bonus. He gives me some nice fishing updates.

Grizz, good to have you here. I'm pretty sure I seen some beautiful smallmouths you caught at Spot on some other forums. My best smallie so far is 4.5 out of spot.

I saw Groupon for a membership there not too long ago. I think it was 50% off?

Thats not to bad, split between two guys....You know the ranger that well you should ask about letting you bring a electric with you Wink
I've notice in the pass theres a couple young guys that run and gun Spot in that bass boat thats docked there for the summer, and their using the gas Rolling Eyes Thanks for your offer. it's appreciated

kman thats a nice Smallie for Spot, you didn't mention what you caught it on, Crankbait? Use to fish the 93 side for Smallies, theres a couple areas that fish pile up pretty good. the only problem is you cant use the pull in area on 93 anymore....$1oo ticket not worth it!

Myself, i've been getting many many follwers the pass two weeks, with a few biters here and there.

Sayeth Grizz

Are you referring to the fish in water or "fairies" in the forest?

Given the way this thread reads you can see where a reader might be confused.

Cool

Nice pics and thanks for the spinner suggestion.
I had some luck at Spot last weekend with a lipless crankbait (Rat-L Trap), but no big ones.

I'll try again tomorrow morning...

Good grief! Went to Spot around noon today and there was a Family Fishing day derby going on at Straw Point. People every where! Went to the other end of the lake to get away and I ended up getting lost in the woods. But I stumbled across Wrights Pond. Caught a couple fish there good little pond. Trek through the woods back over to Spot and got a few dinks. Still there were people everywhere!

Whats the deal with Wrights Pond? Could I launch a topper from the beach? Are boats allowed?

On my way out, seen all the people (kids) around Straw Point with the F&G having a kids day I guess.
Left around 11:30, caught 3 fish, this one being the biggest 6 plus.

You can fish Wrights, walk in and lauch from a fire Rd behind the Rink.
Residence only from the beach area.

I don't think you can bring a boat into wrights pond. I use to fish there when I was younger but haven't been there for years.

I hit spot for an hour or so yesterday but missed the few bites I had. Hopefully heading up again today

Just finished at Dark Hollow. 1 Largemouth and 1 pickeral. Lost a really nice jumping bass because of dumb mistake...forgot to redo the line after the pickeral and so the big bass broke it where pickeral teeth had scratched it up. Stupid mistake!

Using half black chartreuse (sp?).
