are you serious. So in other words, I am probably not telling the truth? I actually have a picture of the fish, but didn't think it would be appropriate to post a picture of somebody else without their permission. Gees, and I almost offered to meet you on the river one day to show you some hotspots. By the way, here is some truth if you want to believe it. Didn't get a damn bite this morning during our trip...sorry, don't have the pictures to prove it!

Why you pissed off? Shocked Man, take the easy. Typing the words is kind diffrent than when saying it. I was in a joking way. It doens't mean much. It is just a comment on a fish story. Many people don't even know what a 5 pound smallie look like. a 3 pound+ can easily be identified as a 5 pounder without a digital scale. Laughing

Wow Willy, a fast and definite way NOT to make friends in here. Hope that just came out the wrong way! "wnbassman" gives you some good advice, telling about how it is worth it (based on his buddy's experience) if you're careful fishing there and you diss him (or his bud). Why would you doubt a 5 lb smallie, since you said you have caught them around that size yourself and have a nice profile pic of one too? Maybe you haven't caught them before and you're holding up someone else's fish to make a nice profile pic? Sorry for butting in, but see how that seems kinda shitty? Not cool![/quote]

Dude, easy man. don't need put fuel on smoke. My icon is not a 5 pounder. It is 4.35 to be exact, about little over 20 inch long. I have caught couple 5s last year at Chu. Many 4s I would think they are 5s only to proved wrong on digital scale.

I hear ya, believe me. It just came off sounding kinda rude. Maybe most dont know what a 5 lb'er looks, but some do. He never said his friend didnt have a scale. Just goes to show how it can sound one way when its meant another. He didnt seem to think it was a joke either. It's all good though.

Sorry "wsbassman" for jumping in uninvited.

To me, fishing is fun and relaxing. I doubt KVD or Skeet Reese are going on here to get pointers and "cheat sheets" I am certainly not a pro and would like to stay that way! Crack a beer, spark it up and drown a worm. Those are my words of wisdom.

"No soup for you, come back in one year", I thought that was funny myself and one of the best quotes from Seinfeld ever! It's funny how some people can say something, then say it was said jokingly and tell others to chill. Then when the other people joke back with them, they take a hissy fit and go running home? Wow! Confused

I thought the soup nazi line was great

here is something to put a smile on your face. While taking the Tracker out of the Merrimack yesterday AM, a fellow angler from my club was just putting his vessel in. I told him we got skunked, but decided to give it a go anyway. He texted me this AM and told me he got 12 smallies....with one fish weighing just under 5LB....yes on a digital scale. He even texted me the photo!!! He tried a section in Haverhill I have passed dozens of times, but never tried. Don't think I will be passing it by next weekend. If you are ever on this section and see a red tracker with a 48 year old with a buzz cut...come on over and say hello. Would be more than willing to pass along some tips, and accept some too!

OK. On Saturday I had one about 14 inches. That's only bite I had. I think it is down Ward Hill where both side looks like residential area. The house backyard had a little creek run into the river. There is a American flag near the bank. This area is interesting. Another area is futher down, only had couple feet of water, they call it "graveyard", I think it will be awesome in the summer wading from bank. It is not easy to fish from the boat unless someone has a powerpole installed. The current is strong and the rocks are tough. Turn right from the boat ramp, with in 1-2 mile, it looked like a huge island or something, this area is a possible bass ground too. 51-52Water Temp?Maybe a little early for smallie. The bridges are almost impossible to fish. It eats jig and drop shot rig like no tomorrow. The current is so strong around bridge. Compare to Chelmsford, all of sudden , Chelmsford section looks like a better fishman friendly place. LOL. This is my poor observation first time in Haverhill section. I am not asking for cheating sheet. I just want fish some productive water. None wants tow a boat around to unproductive places. This is what fishing forum all about--information exchange. Thanks again.
