If you don't mind driving east a ways you can fish Brookline Reservoir or Chestnut hill reservoir. Both places have parking available and a good chance to catch fish.

The only down side is that both places have lots of pedestrian activity: Joggers, Walkers, dogs and kids.

Best times to fish them are early mornings and late afternoon to dusk.

Cochtituate is nearer to you but shore fishing more difficult there.

I also recommend looking at the map on this site to see what is available in your area or close by.

You can also try taking a drive down south to the Blackstone river & canal. Lots of Cats & carp reported caught there. However, that area had a major fish kill event after a state contractor left one of the locks damning the river open and the water level dropped too low to sustain most of the fish in that area.

Good Luck
