Yeah, they usually do. Fished a local shallow pond this morning that I was concerned about. Guess it's ok. Got 5 bass and lost 3 others. Biggest was around 2.5. All on a tube bait. Wink

Flew into Logan this morning and saw most lakes still frozen. I came in from the south straight up from Rhode Island. Small bodies of water were open but anything that looked to be at least 100 acres still had varying degrees of ice. The ice did look a lot thinner today than when I flew out a few days ago.

From what I saw Conn and RI look all open. Should be soon for us.

Just stopped by the nip to do some shore fishing, and there is a tourny out there. One boat was in and had a 6, 5, and 4 pounder. I cannot wait to get out there this weekend

How many boats were in that tourney today at the Nip? Winning bag was 25lbs I was told.

It was friend of mine that won at just shy of 25 pounds.... I guess 2nd had 21 and 3rd wasn't far off that... Those are some great bags for this time of year!

I think everything is open from Pembroke and south Not sure of the north yet.

This weather is not helping today, but at least there are some 60 degrees days ahead.

Some Metro-west area places still have a little ice so the water temperatures will still be really low.

marsfield started to open this past week! so pembroke marshfield and south is open! the melt is moving north slowly!

If this weather forecast holds together, sun and 60 for a few days, the fish should start moving around next week and may even start moving in shallow! Cool
