Hit NH today in search of some big cold water SM. Air temp was 6 degrees when we got to the ramp, southern end of the lake was frozen as we drove in and weren't sure if we would get on or not. Luckily the launch was open water with just a little bit of skim ice to break through. Had to work for them today and fished 20-40' of water with blades and jigs. Ended the day with a dozen SM all on jigs with the biggest going 4.8lbs. Also reeled up and old fishing rod on a 1/2oz silver buddy.Back at it again tomorrow. Love this time of year having the lake to yourself!!! Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Day two was a balmy 20-30' with water temps soaring to 39.5. It was a tough day fishing a lot of great looking new water. Managed a few good bites on jigs in 24-30' of water.

Awesome results for this late in the season...and A+ for battling the elements.
