djtavilla, you're right they were begging for boats. You should not be apologizing for attending or winning. The $100 buy in was for a reason and the thugs in charge should of explained that.

I said no disrespect, it's just how people feel. Last year the biggest tourney we had three tri county teams show up for I think the first time and took first and second place, it's just what people remember.
I've met you and think your a good guy and a hot s***. Again it's just how people feel.

Thanks guys, had a great time and it was fun to finally catch some fish on the cape!

As far as tournament guys with a ton of experience, this is my second year fishing tournaments and I believe Dan's fourth. I can understand the perception that it's "tournament" guys cherry picking tournaments, but it's kind of hard to argue that side when it's two guys in their twenty's who just like fish on the weekends.

Anyways, had a good time and hope to attend some more.

Open means open....Just like last year at lake Cochituate MAF was begging for boats to show. We (Tri-County Guys) did well and I heard rumblings about how guys show up that have been fishing for 30 years and have these fancy boats.

I wanted to fish Long Pond because of what Dan said....only problem was my wife decided to work Sad

You can't have it both ways. If you hold an open T, you never know who shows up.

Congrats to the winners Wink

Johnny, I'm not much of a T guy , I fish a couple opens a year tops it's just not my thing. No disrespect to any MAFF originals but if you don't want full time TD'S IE Startos types fishing your T's make it a closed club. Just a thought.

Did anyone get the number of that Bus???

Oh and they have a closed CLUB. It's called "Old Schoolers". But that doesn't stop them from criticizing this trail.
