I'm looking for my first laker this yr had many a run in with them last yr .a lot of swings and misses they are a tricky bunch.Had one take all my line and almost pull my pole in the water and still missed him.Plan on hitting the Chu hard this yr and scratching that off my fish bucket list.
Hopefully this string of warm days will melt the last of the ice on the CHU. Its looking like a decent/bitter day for opening day saturday but i for one am anxiously awaiting the weekend. Im bringing 3 of my close friends up with me so we have more lines in the water and a better chance for us to land our first lakers. Now i just hope the wind will be timid that day so casting wont be a problem.
I'm thinkin about pulling a black Friday lol. Just go straight there from work at midnight and sit in the car til about 2ish then go claim my spot. Anyone think ill get a hard time from a warden for being there that early? Even if I don't have a bait in the water?
I think there is actually a dawn to dusk curfew but I could be wrong. I've heard of people walking half way to their spot and being told to turn around and go back til it was time but this weekend it may be worth the risk.If your spot is a short walk who cares lol.
