if the braid your using is old it can dry out over time and become weak. Ive used a Palomar with braid and never had a problem , but I know for sure fluorocarbon line doesn't do well with a Palomar , especially 12 lb test and under . Use a trilene knot with the fluro , and if your drop shoting try those new spin shot hooks and u shouldn't have any problems.I've been having some bad problems with knots lately. I've been casting lures right off the end of my line (different rods, different spools of line, 20lb braid and 10lb flouro). I use the regular Palomar knot to tie snap swivels into the line. Is this the problem? What knot do you use for braid/flouro?
