two weeks ago I purchased the Ascend D10 from Bass Pro as my smaller, throw-it-in-the-car-and-go yak. It's a very stable fishing platform with a nice big cockpit and very comfy seat. So far the only mod I made was to add some bungees behind the seat to secure my crate. I've been out in it three times (Canton Res, Buckmaster and Charles River) and it has performed reliably.

My trip on the Charles this past weekend revealed one weakness of this boat, it is light in the tail end, as a result it wants to turn into the wind. Though the weather was gorgeous Saturday, there were some pretty big gusts out there and I spent considerable effort controlling the yak and the drift. A rudder would cure this, if one were available.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Berklee - I feel awful about all the stuff ruined in your pocket. I had a bunch of $20's ruined in a lake once. I can trade you perfect condition $1 bills for those old junk $20's if you'd like.
