I know this is more of a bass forum, but how's everyone's year been for trout?

I stopped fishing for trout after May. I myself probably fished out several stocked ponds haha. It got to the point where my freezer just could handle anymore. Made one trip to the Chu and got my laker as well.

I categorize my "success" in fishing by how damn good I feel mentally after I go fishing. My numbers don't exactly come in near some of the others, caught one bass that was almost 5 lbs in late April and all the rest have been smaller. I probably haven't caught over 40 bass this year, but I only fish one day a weekend. But, I can tell you one thing - I am having one hell of a good year!!!Been exploring, seeing new places and having a good time relaxing and fishing!!

Great way to look at it!

I would have voted outstanding except for the fact that I have lost quite a few fish snapping off lines and throwing hooks.

My hook up rate is way better than ever after 3 seasons of fishing. I've learned to go where the bass are and not where it is convenient and easy. And I am using a lot of new riggings that I had never tried before with great success.

Each year had surpassed the previous for me with experience and the more I learn the more I expect that to continue.

Plenty of bass, the size just isn't there. Most are in the 1-2 lb range. May have caught a 3lbr.! Last year was the season of the 4lbr's. I would love to catch a 4lbr about now! Laughing

ive done good this spring! biggest largie so far this season is 5.9 and biggest smallie so far this season 4.2

lost the biggest largemouth of my life. bigger then the 7lbser that deaffishermen caught in the same pond. few weeks later had another monster explode on a top water but missed the bait completely.

my numbers are consistent. took a break during the spawn to chase stripers and shad.
