This is a misconceptuion, there can be no small ones without big ones. Always did well there with frogs

There are some big ones in there. They can be tough to find this time of year duebto breeding pattern. With the big adult females on the nests, you need to about drop it on their heads to get a strike. Get out there in a couple of weeks you may have more luck. I have done very well there with spooks and jitterbugs in the evening and early mornings in summer

Having grown up in the area (right on Martin's, Fosters, and Harold Parker), it has always been like that. Sure you may get a good one at some point, but for decades it has been pressured and usually met with lots of small bass.

That said, leave Field Pond and go North...Google is your friend.
