New to the board here and def excited for some fall fishing. I live in Plymouth and am lucky to have the opportunity to hit up all the local hot spots. Question for those of you who have been chasing the hogs down in the Wareham area. I know Glen Charlie Pond and Mill Pond are both part of the Agawam River Estuary but which pond would you choose to go after the largest fish? I hear good things about both. Glen Charlie has some deeper spots, stumps, docks, some vegetation and the dam. Mill Pond has lots of vegetation, cover, grass mats and some docks. If you have fished in both which one do you prefer? Posting this out of sheer excitement for my trip on SAT. Looking to choose one pond and cover it the whole day. Thanks!

Both are EXCELLENT. It depends on what your fishing strengths are. Do you prefer to powerfish and fish thick , heavy vegetation ( Mill) Or do you like to fish docks, drop offs and water a little deeper ( Glenn Charlie)? I would concentrate on what YOU are better at.

Thanks for the reply stratos. I have fished from the Glen Charlie dam and have had some luck. I normally fish heayy vegetation a strong point Would you consider agawam mill? I hear there is a state ramp at Mill pond. Ive heard rumors of both ponds and cant wait to check them out.

There is a state ramp at agawam. Better go this year if you want to fish the weeds. There are BIG plans to kill all those weeds next year

Stratos, I heard about the residents discussing the weed situation. I know Billington Sea in Plymouth has some big fish but the same situation with the vegetation. I think we are going with Glen Charlie. Should be fun. Thanks for your help.

I'm a big fan of Glen Charlie. I've pulled many big fish from there throwing the big baits.. they should be on the feed now with the temps dropping... good luck and let us know how you do!

Let's hope that doesn't result in a fish kill...
