Fished Forest Lake in Methuen on 11/20/09 (Last Friday).
Weather: Started with overcast and rain
Ended with sunshine and nice temps
Caught 2 nice trout (I know one must have been a holdover) and 3 good size perch. Caught the Trout on Yellow Powerbait and the Perch on shiners.
Was told by an old timer there that this lake was not stocked with the Salmon in the fall due to a problem with the pump truck, they ended up putting the allotment for Forest Lake into Plugs Pond.

i did some recon on plugs on 2/12/10 and nobody has caught nothing in 2 weks not even a perch.... and to boot forest lake is producing trout and salmon just about every other day... i am a witness to this .... knowing three men for 3 salmon a piece so f lake is still top producer for the m. valley any ?'s just ask
