Me and a few friends of mine are looking to do some bass fishing/camping in a few weeks and I could definitely use some ideas.

I'm not really looking for a family campground, just looking for a place where we can legally drive our trucks/canoe into, and camp and fish for the weekend, preferably somewhere in central/western mass (that also has decent fishing). Don't mind doing some offroading to get there either. Thanks fellas.

Just did the Saco River this past week end. Put in at Fryeburg fair grounds. Camped on the River. About 7-8 hours down the river you will come to the canal for Pleasant Pond. You can camp right there . Fish the pond for a couple of days. Look it all up on google maps.
Caught 60+ fish from Sat to Tue. Plenty of Larrys, Small Mouth and Black Bass. Also some crazy big Pickerel. River shiners ,Smallies and Larrys on the river . River can be slow, but plenty of entertainment floating by the camp areas.

That's a great idea. We usually take a trip down the Saco every 3-4 years, it's like a floating frat party for the most part but this would be an interesting change. Thanks.

Greenfield State Park in Southern NH has a nice, clean campground, and there are a ton of good lakes in that area. Powder Mill Pond and Highland lake are good bass spots, and Nubanusit is supposed to be amazing for lakers. It also has the clearest water I've ever seen in a lake.

Definitely going to try that place next trip, not too far away, and plenty of fishing.
