Launched from Sherman's Bridge earlier today with my buddy and headed downstream. We got skunked but man what a beautiful area. I can't believe I've never fished the Sudbury River but will def be heading out there more this season. My buddy was super slow rolling some hudds and I was fishing suspending jerk baits really slowly and yo-yo'ing a rat-l-trap but we could not find any fish. Worked shores and the middle. Forgot my trolling motor with my transponder mounted on it so we had to use my friend's trolling motor and were without a fish/depth finder. That definitely sucked since it's a new body of water to both of us. The cove on the left a couple of bends down the river had a big sheet of rotting ice on it but looks like it may be promising in the coming month. Any tips or advice on fishing the river between Sherman's bridge and fairhaven bay??
