After Johnny's latest catch (that monster pike) I feel like I just have to fish the Concord. Where are there some launch ramps with a lot to leave the truck/trailer?

hey man, if you really want some good pike action head to wayland ma, shermans bridge road. launch to the left of the bridge and head under the bridge, follow the river past the new rte 117 bridge, after about a mile or so you come to fairhaven bay. straight to the far right corner of the bay. the whole corner should be a nice bed of pads and weeds. some days you can see the pike just hanging around at the surface. weedless rubber frog and they hit em all day.

I highly recomend that spot

Is there any way to launch from 117? I am just thinking of the paddling in a kayak or canoe from wayland

yes, right on 117 there is a small parking lot. There is a path 40 yards down that leads to the water. Fairhaven bay would be about a 10 minute paddle from there.

Go to google maps and enter this 42.418546,-71.359618 its hard to see on the map view but there is a small lot there for parking.

What about launching for trailered boats?

no, trailered boats has to be either from shermans bridge or 4&225 concord.

fairhaven bay is actually where the concord and sudbury rivers meet. so either launch

I drive past there everyday going to and from work. I've been tempted to stop and do a little shore fishing.

Is there someplace there to fish from the shore? I believe the area around the bridge is private property.

it is and the woman who owns the farm is a complete b****,
you might be able to fish on the west bound side front side of the bridge, might be open enough.
