The last few days have had overnight lows drop into the upper 20's in some places. The water temps have dropped 8-10*. These fish were on the verge of an especially early full out spawn but that door has been slammed shut. Yes some fish did come up and spawn but now it looks like there will be a 2nd wave in a week or 2. The fish don't know whether they are coming or going on the flats. The strong North wind is not a lot of help either. Fish bite best during an extended period of stable weather as a front is approaching. Once it passes and you have the bluebird skys of yesterday........ LOCKJAW!!!!
