So I have a tourney on Cochituate on Saturday. Not too big, just 35 boats. I will be prefishing today tomorrow and Friday in preparation for this event. Today I hit middle pond. I fished a buzzbait in the morning and connected with a half dozen bass on the inside of weedlines. Fish ranged between 2lbs and 5 lbs. When that bite died I finessed them with a senko and caught another 8 fish between 3 and 4 lbs. As the sun got higher I switched over to the jig and deeper wood and thats when it got interesting. 5 fish over 4 with a 7.3 as my kicker fish. My best 5 went 26. 5 lbs. Cant wait to go back tomorrow and try and top that.

i'm stuck at UML, just catching 3-4 lbrs. prepping for sunday. kinda hungry, think I will eat my best 5....., wait my son is with me, that's 10, mmmmmmmmm. lol.
Bass are quite delicious and make an awesome shore lunch when skewered on a stick and roasted on an open fire shore side. I have a fanny pack loaded with spices just in case the urge hits me
I'll be at upper mystic tomorrow picking apart the lake myself. The wife and kids are gone for the weekend. I will be there from sunrise to sunset. Hope I don't hook too many.
