I went over to Watertown for the first time yesterday to do some scouting and maybe wet a line. There's a nice walking path along the river on the Watertown side, but the bank is all overgrown, so there's very little room for fishing. The thing is, a lot of it is recent growth. There are some park benches along the path facing the river, but you can't see the river very well from the bench because of all the saplings that have grown up - and I'm sure that growth wasn't there when they decided to put in the benches.
Anyway, I don't think it would hurt the park or the river any if someone went in with a pruning saw and a branch clipper and opened up some spots for casting. Not that I would ever do such a thing - just sayin.'
