O.K. we have 14 signed and I haven't heard anything about a meeting spot .I think we should all meet at the usual spot which is the opening of the channel for the public launch. If you have not paid yet we will collect there. The weigh in location will be determined later.

Do we have a launch address? How is the parking?

Posted Thu Jun 06, 2013 3:50 pm

549 Sudbury Road, Stow. Um parkings kinda tough. Ive seen almost ten full rigs parked there. Theres no paved spots, kinda just weaseling it off the road into some pull offs in the woods around it. The extra parking is gunna be key. Im gunna get there early and be done before the zoo arrives haha.

Parking shouldn't be a problem - especially since its a cartopper.

With the way Boone has been getting hammered, I'm guessing 11ish. Someone will find them, they always do.

All start times are 7 a.m.if everybody is there and ready to go we can take off early in the toppers.

I REALLY NEED TO STRESS THE FACT THAT IF YOU ARE NOT SHOWING POST IT BY 6:30 OR CALL SOMEONE OR TEXT SOMEONE WHO IS AT THE RAMP.WE WAITED UNTIL 6:50 THIS WEEK WITH A NO SHOW.IT'S NOT FAIR NEIL DIDN'T EVEN HAVE HIS BOAT IN THE WATER YET.THE RESULT WAS A DELAYED LAUNCH.IN THE FUTURE IF YOU ARE NOT THERE WE WILL NOT WAIT,LAUNCH TIMES ARE POSTED FOR A REASON.IF YOU ARE THERE AND NOT READY TO LAUNCH WE WILL START WITHOUT YOU AND YOU CAN LEAVE WHEN YOU'RE READY.
WHEN THIS STUFF HAPPENS IT REALLY SCREWS THINGS UP.WE HAVE A PLAN FOR THE START AND IT NEEDS TO BE FOLLOWED.IF YOU WILL BE LATE LET SOMEONE KNOW.IF YOU AREN'T COMING LET SOMEONE KNOW,AND I DON'T MEAN YOU'RE WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND.
ALL TEAMS SHOULD BE AT THE LAUNCH NO LATER 6:30 A.M.
I DON'T WANT TO TAKE THIS TO THE NEXT LEVEL WHICH COULD BE BOAT IN THE WATER BY 6:30 OR DISQUALIFIED.ASKING FOR COOPERATION THAT'S ALL,IT SUCKS WHEN WE HAVE 15 BOATS IN THE WATER WAITING TO TAKE OFF AND WE'RE DELAYED BECAUSE OF THIS.PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF YOUR FELLOW MAFFERS AND BE ON TIME OR LET US KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON.

MY CELL IS 508-215-9606 CALL OR TEXT ME IF I AM SIGNED UP FOR THE TOURNEY,I AM ALWAYS THERE EARLY.

Regarding tourney late shows - I've been thinking about this in regard to our kayak tourneys (not that we have had any issues so far, knock on wood) but it would apply here too. Make a rule that says late arrivers need to locate the tournament host on the water and pay their fee within the first hour/two hours of the tournament. That way you don't have to delay launch times waiting for someone who may never show up.

I've only fished it once but from what I've heard it goes from 1-2lbers to a 5 plus. Not a very balanced fishery but if you can find a big one its the difference maker which makes for a fun tournament. I could be wrong but that's what I've heard. The place lays out great for a cartopper too.

That way people can show up late with the winning bag in the live well already! There's a "group" I fish with sometimes that just is a show up and fish thing. But guys always show up late. For them its a if we do well in the first couple hours will hang out and pay at the end. If they dont they just pack it up before the t ends and take off free of charge.

Granted some aren't morning people but da fuq. Sleeping in an extra 20 minutes ain't gunna get you anywhere except late to the lake.

I'm the ultimate not a morning person and I've only been late once for putting the wrong info in my gps and last year I woke up late for Horn but it's so close to my house I made it on time. If I can be on time anybody can. I'll be late for my own funeral

.Special circumstances would be a flat tire or locked keys in truck at the coffee shop,etc.etc.We still need the phone call letting us know.If you're still in we will launch at the scheduled time and you can pay after you get there, just find the t.d.I know most people can be trusted to pay at the weigh in,but if you say you will you better be there. If someone no shows at weigh in without paying the trust is gone and it will never happen again.I DON'T THINK THIS APPLIES TO ANY ONE I HAVE MET IN THE M.A.F.F.SYSTEM.WE'RE ALL FRIENDS,WELL MOST OF US,AND WE HAVE A GREAT TIME FISHING THESE TOURNEY'S.I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING DISHONEST HAPPEN IN THE 2 YEARS I HAVE ATTENDED.

Posted Fri Jun 07, 2013 1:37 pm

jcotier, you have a good point about the livewell, but are the tournament directors checking everyone's live wells now before launch? As khaskins says, you kinda have to trust your tournament director to do the right thing and assume that the person who is late and who had signed up for the tournament in advance is late for a legitimate reason. There are plenty of other ways to game the tournament.

I think this is a different team boom than me and matt??

Sam Johnny ( boom ) was Matts original partner. He wants to use the Boom name. Maybe you 2 can work it out via pm?
