Bite ready to turn corner

Even the trout fishing started off real slow.Guess we were all real spoiled last yr the fishing was outstanding.As good as I can remember for all species. The slime darts seem to be the only ones active until recently at least for me.

I went out after work this evening with my new 8wt fly rod. I caught a handful of bluegills, a yellow perch and a golden shiner. I caught them all in the shallows. They must be spawning because the yellow perch released a white liquid while I was unhooking him. I hope that means good luck as fish are usually not that happy to see me.
