Looks like it could be a good alternative to kayak fishing, but not sure how it would handle in real life.

Same company sells trolling motor mounts. Between the two of them it would only be 2 or 300 dollars.

This one is similar



Sells on amazon for 170 and they pop right into the rod holders, are very light, and move up and down like in this picture.

I like this one above. I prefer to stand up while casting and didn't think you could do this in a kayak.

I like this one above. I prefer to stand up while casting and didn't think you could do this in a kayak.



in a lot of ways yak fishing is the best type of fishing. It's easy to maneuver, and small enough to go anywhere. Easy to transport, easy to load up, etc. Not being able to stand up however is a major problem. Apparently these outriggers allow completely stability and freedom of movement, which will work great for my SOT yak.

Those out riggers can be made easily with some PVC and a couple lobster boueys. Just install them into your rod holders, or drill new ones.
