1oz Lures

So, I'm watching In-Fisherman and they're fishing 1oz jigging lures.

How does one do that? All the ice rods I've been looking at max out at 1/4 oz.

Just curios.

dont look at ice rods. but look at short stout regular rods. i have bait caster the 5 feet or so. its eagle claw cheap but i use it with my bait caster for heaver jiggin ice fishing. either going deep or going big
