I have seen some big fish in there but I have not had any luck there. I have only caught a few small Larry's there.
This 48-acre pond has a maximum depth of 42 feet and an average depth of 15 feet. Transparency is fair to good and aquatic vegetation is relatively scant. Shoreline access is ample, but limited primarily to the northern and southern ends of the pond. To fish the northern section, park off Pond Street, for the southern section park off West Street near the informal dirt ramp. Additional parking is available at Memorial Field. The ramp is suitable only for car top boats and canoes.
This pond is stocked with one or more species of trout every spring. It also supports a good assortment of warm water species including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, bluegill, pumpkinseed, brown bullhead and golden shiner.
Annual stockings of trout provide most of the action and fishing pressure at this pond every spring. Shore fishing is very productive at this time. The pond also produces some nice largemouth bass during the summer months and panfishing is also good. This pond is also a pretty good bet for local ice fishermen.
