I was afraid of that. Native carp are one thing, but introducing these koi is a bad thing IMO.
There's a bunch in there, I've seen at least 4 with different coloring then some real big normal colored carp. Don't know if they are reproducing but there is more than one, seen them there for years.
I saw a 2 foot plus white koi carp (red markings on head) here today, cruising near the surface among the branches of a fallen tree. Couldn't get a decent photo though. I'm guessing some nitwit released it from their backyard fish pond or home aquarium. Hope there is not a reproducing population of them in here.
I think this is the public ramp:

Thinking about heading out there?
You can use the Chateau on the Dudley bar....you can park there and launch then there is another on lakeshore drive in wayland
Can someone tell me where the put-in for a kayak would be at Dudley? I don't see any public access from the aerial.
I HAVE FISHED HERE SEVERAL TIMES GAVE IT 1 STAR BY ERROR
IT'S A FOUR STAR IN MY BOOK DEFINITLY HAVE HAD SOME GOOD DAYS THERE AND ITS CLOSE TO MY HOUSE. THERE ARE SOME HUGE PICKEREL IN THERE I HAVE HAD 2+ FEET PICKERELS THAT FIGHT YOU DEEP INTO THE WATER. RECCOMEND YOU TRY IT BUT BRING A BOAT.
I like this place. Its not big, doesnt have the best structure, and can be very shallow at the shore line, but its produces good size bass.
