• This is my first Bass of the year and my first fish this open water season. To hell with what the fishing magazines say, Red Shad power worms on cone weights work any time of the year! I've lost count of how many fish I have caught using this one setup.

• The small largemouth was caught on one of those red shad power worms again. Those things just seem to produce everywhere! Once again it was texas rigged, which is of greater importance here due to the massive amounts of lily pads and other weeds.
• I bought a plastic worm with a weedless stinger rig at walmart last week. I decided to use it down at the cove for getting into those lily pad patches. Boy does it cut through those nicley. Shortly after catching this fish I promptly got it stuck in a tree. Looks like i'm headed back to walmart!

• I went with a basic powerbait rig. I Tied a barrel swivel on to the end of my 8 pound mono and added about 2.5-3 feet of 6 pound fluorocarbon leader. Just above the swivel was a small 1/8 ounce steel egg sinker. A baited powerbait hook completed the set up.
