Blueberry Pond in Brewster is an infertile, 25 acre warmwater pond with an average depth of 10 feet and a maximum depth of 24 feet. The bottom is sand and muck. The 0.9 miles of shoreline are about ten percent developed and emergent aquatic vegetation covers approximately 15 percent of the surface area. The pond is fed by groundwater from the southern edges of the pond and drainage from a wetland area to the northeast. Blueberry Pond is a natural great pond which under the Colonial Ordinances of 1641-1647 allows an angler to pass over unimproved lands on foot. Lands under the control of the town of Brewster are located along North Pond Drive and the Cape Cod Rail Trail borders unimproved land along the northern side of the pond. Informal access through the Blueberry Pond Association at the end of Blueberry Pond Drive is suitable to cartop launching only. There is a three horsepower limit on outboard engines. Fish: yellow perch, chain pickerel, brown bullhead, golden shiner, white perch and killfish.
