Big Bass And Company!
What an action packed night!!! I had a jam packed day and enjoyed all of it! That feeling continued through out the evening! I set sail around 7:15 pm and saw none other than Riderer. I rollled up in the old town canoe and he was in his khyak-blue thunder! Shortly after the encounter we heard a giant splash in the water. I threw a senko worm a few feet past the ripples and watched my line for a few seconds- then the excitement hit as my line started to dart. I set the hook and the reel in process begain. The fish surfaced a couple times and then darted by my canoe, a great sighting. I worked the fish in and then netted it; what a way to start the trip, third cast in and a slob landed! Ralph took a quick video after the catch which can be viewed at http://www.bikemovies.com/movie/013256/
Two of my next five casts landed a smallie and a largie. I decided to spend an hour in a secluded cove with shallow waters, a massive lily pad presence and stumps that Larry rents out during peak season. Prior to arriving in the cove I hit about a 1 pound bass. Ralph was hitting bass as well- probably 5 in total on the trip with a couple in the 2 pound range and some solid fights. He also landed a solid pickeral that needed a visit to the dentist haha. Overall I was impressed with Ralph's arrogance and khyak techniques. I continued using the worm for a few casts and caught a nice bass in between the pads. A few minutes later I went further into the cover and with a frog got an exciting jump and finally a set with a frog. I worked the bass in through the weeds and pads before I netted the 2 pound 10 ounce largie- a very rewarding grab. A nice 20 inch pickerel followed quickly as it smashed my worm near a rock during the retrieve. The last bass of the night hit on a jitterbug around 9:30 pm. An active and rewarding trip on a memorable day with once again ARROGANCE prevailing.
Unreal video, such hysteria in the air...pure arrogance!!! Can we get some of these reults SUNDAY KID
