Looks like the weather will be good this week. What are your 5 go to baits if you started fishing tomorrow right up until the spawn? Start with your # 1 choice that always works.

#4 crank bait
#5 underspin

Just ordered a few underspins from jewel bait last week. They teamed up with Casey Ashley and duplicated the underspin that he won last years classic with. hoping they come in the mail soon.

First of all, there is no single bait that "always" works! What works one day, may not get bit at all the next day. I usually will start with a suspending jerkbait, if that doesn't produce I will fish a tube or a worm. I will also mix in a grub on a jighead, Countdown Rapala, rattle bait and chatterbait. You have to keep experimenting until you get bites! Idea

My go to in the spring used to be to fish for trout til it warmed up lol This yr I plan on going after some of those big pre spawn girls. Just got into jigs last yr. I guess time to learn them as it seems to be the favorite spring and all purpose bait.
